Well, Since Tomorrow Is Taco Tuesday And All! Here’s A Recipe For Apple Pie Tacos!

So while I was scrolling through Facebook, I came across this recipe (which was posted by My Fridge Food) and immediately stopped. I mean seriously people, apple pie tacos?

Does that not sound interesting?

(Of course it does, just agree with me on this one here. Lol)

And since I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share this with everyone, here’s the recipe you guys! Enjoy!

(If you need any of the ingredients, you can always visit my store here and purchase them.)

Apple Pie Tacos

What you’ll need:

4 Apples peeled & sliced

1/2 C Sugar

2 tsp Cinnamon

1/2 tsp Nutmeg

1/2 C Water

Tortilla’s (flour) 6″ size

Oil (for frying tortillas)

1/2 c sugar-cinnamon mixture

Whipped cream

Directions:

Place apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and water in a sauce pan.

Stir until well blended and then cover and cook on medium heat, while stirring frequently for 10 minutes or until apples are semi soft. (If needed, thicken sauce by using 1 Tbl of cornstarch to 3-4 Tbl of water and then mix this into the sauce and stir it until thickened.)

Heat oil on medium heat in a skillet and while holding the tortilla folded in half, place the bottom of the tortilla in the oil for a few seconds.

Then lay it on one side until browned and then do the same for the other side. Remove from oil and sprinkle browned tortilla with sugar-cinnamon mixture. Fill taco shells with apple pie filling and top with whipped cream, and sprinkle a little more of sugar-cinnamon mixture on top.

Let it “set” on an upside down muffin tin.

So there you have it you guys! If any of you make this (or have had this before) go ahead and leave a comment below and let me know! I’d love to hear all about it!
