At the grocery store buying apples?
Why not pay with Apple? “Apple Pay” that is!
Excuse my lame joke there. However, shopping in stores has become a whole lot easier! Purchasing your favorite items may be as easy as 1-2-3 (or do-re-me), if you’re an iPhone user. Apple has introduced their new pay system called, you got it, Apple Pay. This new system will allow anyone with an iPhone 6, iPad or Apple Watch to purchase items in stores or through online apps with a single touch. No more reaching into your pockets (or purses) for your wallets and credit cards. (Sort of just like Google Wallet, no?)
With Apple Pay, you don’t need to use an actual credit or debit card! Instead you’ll receive a unique Device Account Number that will be assigned to Apple’s “Secure Element”, which is a chip in the new iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches. So even if your iPhone or iPad is stolen or misplaced, you can quickly suspend Apple Pay using “Find My iPhone”. And since you don’t have to show your credit or debit card, you never reveal your name, card number, or security code to the cashier when you pay in a store. (We may never have to worry about identity theft ever again. Okay, maybe not.) And if you’re not an iPhone user? Well … don’t cut up those credit cards just yet.
